To the Land of My Fathers

Although my retired military, current lawyer dad may not look or act it, he is a farm boy. He grew up on a farm in Aberdeen, Idaho. Aberdeen is a very, very, very, very small town near Pocatello, Idaho...if you still haven't heard of Pocatello, try to find it on a map--Pocatello ain't that big either. Well, this weekend, my parents and I decided to drive up to Aberdeen to visit my dad's dad (my paternal grandpa) and surprise him for Father's Day weekend. It's only a 3 hour drive from my parent's house, so we'll grab lunch with my dad's family, then drive back down. It'll be the first time Rhys meets many of his relatives (who have never left Aberdeen), so I'm very excited!

And then, Sunday is Father's Day--Justin's first Father's Day.

So, for now, check out these reads for your weekend!

  1. Thanks, Rhys had the time of his life up in Aberdeen, and everyone loved doting on him!
