Wowee! Through a Utah Blogger facebook group I joined, I had the most unbelievable opportunity to review the Mercobox!
The Mercobox is a Utah subscription box that focuses on local businesses.
I was super excited to open it!
And holy cow! I didn't expect to have this much packed into it! Wow! Talk about substance and worth! I was definitely satisfied with how much product was in here!
Eco Treasure Soap Nuts ($9.99)
Soap Nuts are an organic berry that grows in the Himalayas. It is a natural producer of soap. You are supposed to put these in your washer with your laundry and it slowly releases soap to wash your clothes. You can use these for 4-5 loads. I was going to use these immediately, but a key-getting-locked-in-the-car issue has made us postpone laundry till another day when we have time. But, I'm excited to save some money on laundry, especially since I have to pay the Laundromat to wash my clothes!
Ashley's Apothecary Healing Salve ($6.49)
This smells nice and I love that it is the color of green. It goes on very smooth, like top quality lip butter, almost.
Meals that Transform Power Bar and Protein Mix ($5)
We definitely know our share of protein shakes...we drink Slim-Fast and others like it a lot. I like protein and power bars as well. When I saw it, the size worried me a little. But, it was all-natural ingredients and my goodness it was delicious! I was only able to eat 2/3 of it for breakfast and was completely satisfied until lunch! It definitely was a power bar! We are excited to try the protein shake--the Mercobox came with a recipe as well.
Les Madelines ($3.75)
These were freaking delicious! Oh my goodness! I felt I had to share these with Justin, but honestly, I regret it because these were the tastiest tea cakes ever!
Mason Jar coffee Roasters Colombia Guatica ($3.50)
I don't drink coffee. But, I have a coworker at my school who claims he is a Coffee-snob (his own words). So, I gave him this to try. I'm excited to hear what he says.
Fit Me Tea 3 tea samples and filter ($6)
I also don't drink tea, but these flavors seemed pretty cool. I think it's nice that they sent 3 different flavors, rather than just one. I have another coworker who likes tea, so I gave them to her.
Gift Cards!
Rodizio Grill gift card ($10 off 2 adult rodizios) Justin and I have never bee, but we have eaten at Tucanos and loved it, so we're excited to try Rodizio's!
Our Childrens Earth gift card ($5) This is an eco-friendly etsy shop!
Downtown Yoga gift card (free class) This'll be nice to try pregnant or not.
Ballet West gift card (buy 1 get 1 half off) Justin recently mentioned that we should see more plays or "cultural" events. This is our opportunity!
A typical Mercobox is about $35. But, there is a Mother's Day special coming up for only $14.99 plus S&H with the Promo Code: Mom. I'm definitely considering getting it for my mom, especially knowing how stock-full it will be! (Justin....here's an idea gift for you to get me)
You can save on this wonderful opportunity, too! Just use the following coupon code!
Coupon code: "iheartutah" for 25% off.

This is such a cool idea! I like the Birch Boxes, and such, but I LOVE that this is all local. And woah, you seriously made out with some amazing stuff. That coffee alone would have had me smiling for weeks. :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely think I made out! What a haul!
DeleteIt really sounds like Utah has some very creative local businesses in operration! I have no idea if there is anything like this for Michigan.
ReplyDeleteDo you think I could get in that Faebook group?
ReplyDeleteJust find it on facebook: Utah Bloggers, and request an invite.
DeleteI would love to hear how those soap nuts work. They are so interesting to me! I think I will have to get some and try them myself! :)
