So, at the beginning of March, my roommates and I all decided not to eat sugar for a whole month.
No... desserts, chocolate, ice cream, candy, junk food, doughnuts, etc.
Mission: Impossible!
The third day, I was suffering. Terribly. Three days was the longest I have ever gone without sugar or chocolate. Confession: I am a choco-loholic.
Having coworkers and friends goad me into trying to break the sugar fast did not help. But after about a week, it got easier. I was able to stay away from chocolate. Yes, I was still sad and still wanted some, but it wasn't the end of the world to me anymore.
My roommates ended a week before I did. Everyone thought I should just finish with them, but I had a week left, then a cruise with unlimited food. I could do it then celebrate on the ship.
I made it. I stayed away from chocolate and sugar until the cruise. Then, I OD'ed on icecream and chocolate. Great. A month's worth of sugar in one week. Yuck.
