So, in our college town, we have an annual Bridal Fair at a local high school. I used to think it was ridiculous. Then, I turned 21 and all my friends started getting married.
Does it surprise you? I got hooked. I wanted to see this bridal fair.
My friend Natashya (love the "y" in her name) and I went to see a play performance of Jane Austin's Persuasion a couple weeks ago. Walking home, we talked about her and her boyfriend. I called that they would be engaged soon. Then, we decided because we were both nerds, we should go to the Bridal Fair just for fun.
Lo and behold, they got engaged earlier this week. So now we had an excuse to go to the Bridal Fair.
It was soooooo cool! I loved looking at all the different dresses and cakes. Natashya loved looking at the invitations and cakes. Andy, her fiancee and one of my good friends, loved eating the free samples, including cupcakes. We were laden down with magazines, handouts, pamphlets, candy, and discounts. The atmosphere was great--full of love and excitement.
Later tonight, I am going to Natashya's bridal shower and I absolutely can't wait for her and Andy to get married.
Today was a great day to go to a Bridal Fair.
PS. I loved going there with you. :) It was just thrilling and amazing.
