For me, it's after I've done all my grading and lesson planning, left my isolated classroom, come home and make a good dinner for the husband, have a terrific run. Then, through the cracks of the closed blinds, I can see the ombre of the sunset.
The sun has punched out for the day, so why can't I?
True, I have dishes to do, rooms to clean, a shower to take...
But in all honesty, I don't want to. I want to sit here in my sweat (just finished a run), legs crossed (stretching out my knee) and look at blogs and 9gag.
Is that so bad?
Especially when I told myself I was going to pick up the clothes on the bedroom floor for the past...um...6 days in a row now? When I told myself I was going to finish picking up the papers and vaccuum the living room for the past 3 days? When I mentioned I was going to do the dishes yesterday?
Can I continue to be lazy?
My excuse: Today was the end of the 3rd term at Springville Junior High. I spent a total of probably 10+ hours grading the past 3 days. I deserve a break.
Right?
(Besides, tomorrow is a day off. I can do housework then.) Ok. I've convinced myself...eventually, I'll get up, rinse off, maybe make some popcorn on the stove top, turn on Fruits Basket, and not clean tonight.
When/why do you get lazy? What do you do in your laziness?
