My
muse is very picky about when she visits me. Usually, she flies to me at sunset.
She then watches the sun go down as she tells me her ideas. She stands behind
me with her hands on my shoulders, whispering in my ear after dusk, until I
fall asleep. She loves to come during fall and winter, since she knows I have
time off from school, and it seems like sunset and dusk lasts longer then. But
she does like to tease me, occasionally. After I come home from school, when
I'm supposed to be doing homework, she loves to open my novel and have me start
writing. More than often, I have spent hours past my bedtime finishing homework
that could've been done before dinner. My muse hates to see me bored out of my
mind in school, so during dull classes she appears, though I do not always have
paper to write on; then she teases me by showing me what happens and leaves me
trying to hold that thought until I have paper.
I
don't have to search for my muse often, since she enjoys my company and
watching me write about her and her culture, and her life. But she only comes
when a certain atmosphere is in the air, which I try to always have, so she can
come at any time. She doesn't like it bright inside houses. So when in my room,
she likes it dim, which is very pretty when the light reflects off of my
lavender walls. She also likes it when there are dark, but soft colors, such as
green, purple, magenta, silver and a certain shade of orange. She loves when it
is warm, not hot, like summer, but not cold, like the freezer. She enjoys being
comfortable on a blanket, or cushion. It is easier for her to tell me stories
and poems when there is instrumental music playing which helps add emotion to
the idea. My muse has given me plenty of artifacts for inspiration including
many Pixie figurines, naturistic wallpaper, beautiful gems, and historic maps. She also
has me keep fantasy, and adventure books on my bookshelf. She feels that I
should diffuse their "magic" into me to help me write more.

Wow! Your muse is awesome. I've never taken the time to really think about if I even have a muse. But I'll have to now, especially after reading the details of yours!
