The Morrell Tale: How We Wore It // Fall Transition

So, fall started to make an appearance here in Utah with 55-70* days and 40* nights for a few weeks. Then, all of a sudden, we have 85-95* days again! What the heck, Utah? It's October tomorrow! I want my fall!

But, regardless of the temperature, I want to start pulling out my cardigans! And this month's How We Wore It gave me a chance to do so!

Our inspiration was this picture from Life with Emily.

Well, I'm sorry, Emily, but I consider that peach, not orange.

So, here is my peach fall transition outfit!

Now, Utah is weird with its fall weather in September and the beginning of October--it's in the 40s-50s* in the morning, but by 11am, it's in the high 80s* until about 8pm when it starts to dip back down. It's ridiculous trying to plan an outfit for a day that will have a 30-40* range! And that is why many Utahns wear cardigans: light fabric (like this one), heavy, short sleeved, elbow-length, long sleeve, short hem, long hem,etc.

Rhys, the sunlight, and my tripod were all working against me when I took my pictures, so I had to try like 3-4 different spots. Taking my own pictures is my least favorite part of fashion posts.

This necklace is actually really special to me. My mother gave it to me on Mother's Day. It is pure silver. The ring in front says "mom" and the pendant in back says "Rhys Michael" and has his birthday on the other side. I absolutely love it and really want to keep adding to it with each new child.
