She has an inspiring fashion linkup that she does every week, the Creative Closet. I've always felt intimidated by fashion bloggers with their perfect camera shots, perfect poses, perfect clothing.
But, this week's inspiration has done just that--inspired me. It is Boho Babe.
Growing up, I loved Bohemian fashion: peasant shirts and skirts, tinkling bells, anklets, feather earrings, etc. There is a part of me that still loves it. I even love the store Bohme (but it's waaaay to expensive for our current budget). Also, as a teacher and a mom to an almost-toddler, comfort is the way to go!
So, I decided to have a try at the Creative Closet! And, now knowing sweet Jana, I believe she'll have my back on this!
Shirt: Wet Seal
Pants: Ross
Sandals: Sole Envy
Necklace: Local expo...can't remember the local company that did it, but it is an actual petrified leaf in actual bronze! How cool! How bohemian! How me!

| Ignore my face! It's weird in this picture! Also, it's hard to take your own pictures with a tripod when you don't have one of those smart phone/DSLR remotes! |

| I'm not one to divulge addresses and my all our addresses our on our doors in my townhome complex...so sorry for the black circle, but privacy! Also, this was the hardest pictue to take by myself! |

Love those pants! I always feel like they look like fancy jammies on me, but you totally pull them off!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the necklace...super cool. The pants rock too!
ReplyDeleteThose pants are amazing! I love how they look! And that leaf necklace is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!! Look at how tiny those pants make your waist look! I love wide leg pants like these–so comfy and breezy and you pull them off so well!
ReplyDeleteAnd man, after reading that first paragraph, I am blushing over here! You are so sweet. Thank you. :)
I'm so glad you jumped in this week! I hope you'll continue to join us. :)
Thanks! That's how they looked to me on the hanger and even in the changing room, but when I put them on at home, I loved how they looked on me!
ReplyDeleteIt's my favorite piece of jewelry I own!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Desiree!
ReplyDeleteJana, that waist comment means a lot to me as I'm still not down to my pre-pregnancy size or weight. Thank you! I love the high waist of them, too, because I have the perfect body shape for them!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit and I wish I could pull it off like you! It looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteGirlfriend, for a first time attempt at "fashion blogging" you're killin' it!
