We are very lucky to have a park right next to our townhome. So, almost every day, Rhys and I venture out there while grabbing the mail.
Justin was home today, so we took advantage of the evening and went on a walk as a family. The park has two baseball diamonds, a playground, a tennis court, a pavilion, and a jogging path with ditch that runs by it. It ends where an old railroad for transporting rocks, coal, and other materials from the quarries in the mountains across valley was.
| We saw this big dog in a backyard on our walk. Justin loves big dogs. I immediately thought of the beast from the Sandlot. |
| We both LOVE birds of pray and saw this beauty. We were able to sneak up pretty close to it before it flew away. In a different life, Justin would've been a falconer! |
At this small "memorial", Justin, Rhys, and I sat in the shade and just enjoyed the weather.
What a fun little family adventure! And that dog very well could be related to the one that terrorized the Sandlot kids....
ReplyDeleteHow fun!!! ;) And nice that you have that right next to your place.
ReplyDeleteThat dog DOES look like the one from Sandlot!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little park, and how awesome that it is so close to you.
I've thought Rhys looks so much like his daddy, but in these pictures I see a lot of you!
Thanks! I do know he has my lips!
ReplyDeleteAnd even though that dog was behind a fence, it still freaked me out. Big dogs make me nervous!
I know! It's great!
ReplyDeleteI'd believe it!
