A Day in the Life of a Middle School Teacher
Teacher's Spouse.
As a disclaimer, Tayler has made me say that I occasionally exaggerate my stories. That being said, here is exactly how my typical day goes being married to a worry-wort of a wife wonderful woman. Alliteration intended.
5:00am - Alarm goes off. Tayler tells me to get out of bed to go and put it on snooze for another 15 minutes or so.
5:15am - repeat.
5:30 - Tayler wakes up, and asks me if I am going to get up with her. On occasion I do, and more often than not I opt to go back to bed since my day doesnt usually begin until around 8 or 9.
5:45 - Tayler ignore my plea to go back to bed and she tells me asks me, so politely that I cannot refuse, to make her breakfast and/or lunch.

6:00 - I help her pack up for the day, she leaves sometime between 6 and 6:30. Occasionally I have to take a picture of what she is wearing so she can post it to the blog. Some mornings I leave at this time to go and play basketball with friends. Usually takes an hour.
7:30 - My morning text saying she got to work alive, occasionally accompanied by a funny internet picture, or something to add to my honey-do list.
7:00am to 11:00am - Shaving and classes and stuff.....
11:00am - Tayler usually begins her prep period around this time. I get the occasional text/facebook message describing the day thus far, how much she misses me, a reminder of things on my honey-do list, and the occasional funny internet picture.
12:00pm - Tayler goes back to teaching.
12:00pm to 3:30pm - School and food and stuff....
3:30pm - Tayler finishes school. I always get a call with her estimated time of arrival at home, accompanied by some sort of preparation request for dinner.
4:45pm - Her usual time of arrival at home. She always grabs something small to snack on and then uses the bathroom. Like clockwork.
5:00pm - Making dinner. My inclusion on the preparation is completely dependent on what we're making. Assistance ranges from "You make dinner" to "don't touch anything".

6:00pm to 8:30pm - work hours. She plans lessons and grades (with my occasional help on multiple choice questions....she doesn't dare let me grade essay questions, as she shouldn't). I usually do homework, play video games pokemon, and get her stuffs (Can I have a glass of water? Grab me a red pen please? Where are the tissues? I can't find my phone, can you call it? The last question is always responded with me calling out verbally "PHONE?". Yes, this is a daily occurrence). Work hours are usually done with Netflix going on in the background. Shows vary between anime, sitcom reruns, and chick flicks.
8:30pm to 9:30pm - Miscellaneous time. Dessert, music, tv shows, video games, funny YouTube videos, intriguing internet articles, house clean-up. No real pattern.
9:30pm - Her bedtime. I normally go as well, but I am never tired. Even with waking up around 5 or 6, I can almost always go until midnight before I get tired, whereas Tayler can barely keep her eyes open past 10. It has been reported that I sometimes slip out of bed to play video games for an hour or so, and then slip back into bed when I am a bit more tired.
So that's a typical day in our lives. On this blog, you tend to only see Tayler's viewpoint, so I thought I'd take you through my eyes. Or rather, Tayler thought this post would be cool so she told me to write it....
