Happy Womb Emancipation Day, Bobby!

My amazing, super fantastic, hilarious, genius of a brother is 16 year's old today!
(credit goes to my good friend Natashya Heim for the title phrase)
Look at this stud!

Bobby was born 3 days after my birthday (b-day and Valentine's post to come tomorrow/Friday). He plays the trumpet and is part of the prestigious Davis High Marching Band. He and I grew up exploring fantasy novels/realms/movies/realms together. We both love Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson. We played video games, always trying to out do each other. He is a very good soccer player and played football until he killed his knee. He has won many, many regional science and history fairs. And when I started dating Justin, Bobby clicked with him. Now, when we visit, all they ever talk about is Fire Emblem and I'm pushed out of the picture. (But I love they have such a good brotherly relationship!)

Like Father, like son. This is him watching my first dance with my husband.
My brother means everything to me. He is my only one. When I was 5-6 years old, I just had a sister, Madison. I loved her to death, but I wanted a brother, too. So, as a little child with an amazing, undying faith in Heavenly Father, I devotedly prayed every single night that Jesus would bring me a brother. Finally, mom got pregnant with a boy! My prayer was answered!
Now to the more amazing part! He was born 3 days after my 7th birthday. But, since he was born with a club-foot, he had to stay at the hospital for a couple days. So, Grandma hosted my birthday party and while I was opening presents, mom and dad walked in the door with Bobby in their arms. He was my birthday present.
We have such a close bond and I love being able to talk with him whenever I want. I absolutely love my brother and I am glad that he is growing up and going to be able to experience dating and driving, and applying for colleges and becoming an adult.

I love you Bobby!
