Roadblock

When you come to a cross roads, you choose one way or the other. Now the question is, the road chosen seemed to be going my smoothly but a tree just fell in the road, followed by a crew of workers barring your passage. Do you back away, and try going the other way, instead of your favorite path, or do you try to debate with the crew and wait until the tree is cleared away, hoping their construction hasn't completely ruined your drive?
